You Know Exercise Is Good For You, But Why Aren't You Doing It?

“Not enough time” is the #1 excuse I hear from people about why they don’t exercise, but they’ve seen the latest movies, they’re posting on social media regularly, and making other things a priority. Get exercise on your calendar, no matter what! Even though my job is to work with people to get them in shape (I’m a personal trainer at Crossroads Fitness), I have to make my own exercise a priority. Here’s a typical week’s exercise plan for me:

  • Saturday & Sunday – long dog walks with my husband (and a matcha latte at Peet’s)

  • Monday – 45 minutes of resistance training at Crossroads Fitness

  • Tuesday – 50-minute lunchtime class at RockSalt Pilates

  • Wednesday – early morning spin class at Primetime Athletic Club with my husband

  • Thursday – 45 minutes of resistance training at Crossroads Fitness

  • Friday – practice Pilates at home

I work with many clients to figure out what type of exercise to do during the week that will work with their schedules and get them closer to their goals. Then we have at least one session a week at Crossroads Fitness to keep them on track. Contact me for a free consultation!
